DEMOfest

The aim of DEMOfest is to stimulate commercial interaction between research and business, through an exhibition of the high quality technology that is being developed by the Scottish informatics community. Originally titled Lifting the Lid, our first exhibition was held in November 2008 and displayed research from eight universities involved in the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA).

DEMOfest gives SMEs and larger companies the opportunity to see technology with commercial potential. The event also includes exhibitions and presentations of knowledge transfer successes and opportunities for collaboration between higher education and industry.

DEMOfest is organised by Informatics Ventures in conjunction with ScotlandIS and SICSA to give researchers a venue to present their pre-commercial work to local businesses, particularly technology SMEs.
